When they carried out their Inst march through Shanghai hundrode of foreigners turned out to see them. Upper picture shows the colours passing the British Consulate, while the lower picture shows the combined pipe bands of the Scots Guards and the Shanghai Scottish loading the march

The above picture, takon by the Famine Relief Committee for the provinces of Honan, Shensi and Kansu, shows the tor- riblo plight of people of that region who have to strip the bark off trees in order to en-tain life,

The final dash for home in the most recent of the Shanghai papor hunts. The winner was Mr. Trenchard, on the loft. Mr. D. J. Konwick, riding " Montara "on the right was second.
