Until Saturday the Engineers were within measurable distance of the league leaders, the Indian R.C., being then only four points behind with two gumes in hand. They are now seven points behind with still two games in hand.
The Engineers collapsed before tho 4 bowling of the Portugueso and only managed 89 when their last wicket fell. The Club de Recreio passed thila score with four wickets to spare, and went on to make 114.
