For those who can hear the faste of the rum there is nothing so good for a cold as ram and milk. Half

a glass of rum: should be the pro- portion for half a wint of milk. Sweeten the milk after heating it, then add the rum and a dash of nut meg. Serve at once.

Sage Ten.

This is an old country remedy for sore throat. It should be drunk as hot as possible. One dessert- afoonful of sage with sugar to taste should be infused with a little less than half a pint of boiling water. A little nutmung may be added.
