The red flashing light erected for the control of traffic at the junction of Pedder Street and Dea Voeux Road Central, and which is familarly known "The Red Beacon," figured in a traile case before Major C. Willson yester "day afternoon.

Mr. Horace Lo, of the legal firm of Lo. and Le, was summoned for failing to keep as close as possi- ble to the left when negotiating the junction in his Austin Seven on the morning of December 1. He pleaded not guilty and was de- fended by his brother, Mr. M, K.

Copper plates, bearing the in- pressions, of the front and back of certain Central Bank notes, were also produced by Mr. Dovey. One interesting exhibit bore the signatures of two officials whose names appear on these notes, one of which was that of Mr. T. V. Soong.
