Three thatches of much interest are down for decision in the Senior Division of the Hongkong Foot- ball League to-morrow, four of the strongest teams in the running for the Championship providing two of the games.

First Class Matches,
There is a wide division of interest in the Senior League
to-morrow! the matches
two games in Hongkong being among the most important of the season. South China and the Queen's Royal Regiment, who at present occupy the first two places in the table, meet at Sookompoo, and a really first-class struggle is almost inevitable.
Both teams have been once de- feated, the Queen's by the Police and South China by the K.O.S.B. It will be the first appearance of the Queen's in the field since their defeat on December, 1st, while South China have avoided defent aince November 3rd. Barclay is fit again, but there' seems to be some doubt about Caldicutt, the lively left-winger.
South China, I understand, will field the eleven which drew with the Athletic. If the side begins in the style with which it closed last week's match, South China may establish themselves at the head of the table.
K.O.S.B. Slip.
Chinese Athletic are also en- gaged with a strong military team, the K.O.S.B. The Borderers slip- ed badly last week, but it would he surprising if such bad luck in front of goal persisted, There was a weakness at back, which if not rectified, Chinese Athletic will certainly find, while the forwards will do well to play a more open game. A keen struggle is certain and goal-scoring is not likely to be high.

Looking Back!
Although every successful business enterprise looks forward-plans ahead-and endeavours to make each New Year a better year, in order to assist in making what may be momentous declalons, it is necessary to Indulge in serious retrospection. The keen business man looks back over the past year and endeavours to locate points in his policy which may be improved.
Advertising is one of the most vital factors in com. merelal life to-day, and so important is Newspaper Advertising, that while there are numbers of the world's commercial lenders who have publicly emphasised the incomparable value of newspapers in promoting trade, we have yet to learn of one Impartial business man who has advised any other form of trade publicity in preference to the Press.
.
NEWSPAPER ADVERTISING IS THE ONE UNIVERSAL MEANS OF PROMOTING TRADE.
Look back over the past year and earnestly ponder over this matter. Your verdict will surely be in favour of the medium which goes into the homel Then remember that the popularity of the newa- papor is the standard by which you should assess the value of every cent you spend.
