It has been pointed out to me that the Craigongower-Navy match at Happy Valley was incorrectly re- ported in the papers in that the home team was given as having had first knock, whereas it was really the Navy side which went in Brat. The result, therefore, should have been a win for the Senior Service hy 24 runs instead of by three wickets.

I was surprised to see the way Craigengower crumbled before the Navy bowling which was really not so diflicult to play as the averages might indicate. The home team to 'win, were act only 113 runs which ist not such an impossible tank for a side which has some

Club de Recreio, judging by re- cent, performances, are not nearly so good as they were a year age and did not trouble the Indiana overmuch at Sookumpoo. The Portuguese team have fallen off considerably in battly, but they still retain that keenness on the field which never admits of defent until actually beaten.

Cralgengower can put them- selves on the back for taking the full points from the Navy 2nd XI. I hear they played a really fine game, especially when fielding, and fully deserved their convinc- ing victory. Leonaril appears to have become their most consistent bat and the attack was again well taken care of by Fritz and W. Way. Skipper Mow Fung surprisingly hit up the highest score and put in some excellent work behind the sticks.

True, the Navy failed rather badly this time-they were all dis- missed for 60-but it is well known that they are capable of bigger things, so it is never really safe to under-estimate them.

Royal Engineers and Signals severely trounced the Civil Service bowling and scored 172 runs for oight wickets in qulek time: The earlier batamen of the C.S.C.C. faced their uphill battle bravely and appeared to have paved the way for a division of the points, but the opposition bowlers, especially Sig. Durand, made short work of the "tall-end."

Ice,

In a return match played between

the Beds, and Herts, and the K.LT.C. teams, on the Marina ground yester- day afternoon, the Indians beat their opponents for the second time, by 3 goals to 1.

In the first half the Indians were

leading by 2 gonds to mil. In the second half they made the score.3, and Beds, and Herte, scored their only point just before the final whistle.

As on the previous occasion, the Beds, and Herts, were mostly playing a defensive gume. -
