REAL ANXIETY RETURNS.
While there is no definite suggestion in the bulletin issued from Buckingham Palace last night, there is every reason to belleve that His Majesty has taken a turn for the worse and that the situation is really grave.
Doctors were with the King throughout the day, spending the afternoon in the Palace after an unusually long morning
consultation. 1
An uneatisfactory morning bulletin was followed by a much less reassuring one in the following terms:
The King has had a quiet day, The signs in the lung have improved, Fever persists though it is not so high, and is due to some return of the general infection which necessarily affects the condition of the heart.
It is feared that the spreading of the poison from the lung throughout the system will have a serious effect on His Majesty's heart, which combined with the physical exhaustion. reported over the week-end is giving rise to the gravest an- xiety.
