Definition of TRAVELLERS' CHEQUES-

"The system of Travellers Cheques, was originated in 1891 by the American Express Company with the object of creating a form Aravel currency which would give the holder the security of a lotter of credit and at the same time the conveniones of local currency. The Company registered the cheques under the trade CHEQUES! name of AMERICAN. EXPRESS TRAVELERS

the world "Travellers being spelled with one "L"This advantage of the Cheques was so apparent that other banking institutions adopted the system."

Old Members Reinstated. Another very important decision was an announcement that the

members of the old Tung Ming Huei and all persons admitted to the Kuomintang prior to 1924 will be reinstated. The younger mem. bers contend that the present Kuomintang is very different from the old Tung Ming-huel or the Kuomintang of past years. They have no liking for the so-called "Old Guards." It has been their platform to demand re-registration of all Party members, hoping thus to eliminate the "Old Guards."

The foregoing two decisiona menn a signifiennt victory for the Conservative members, and will also mean that the present Gov. ernment and present leaders are firm in their places and feel that the Radicals have little chance to give much trouble.-Reuter,
