Maitro Suzanne Blum, who ap- peared for plaintiff, said that Mile. Cahen d'Anvers, who is 82, had, owing to grave differences of opinion, to leave the beautiful chateau of Seloigne, where her parents live in Belgium. She could not bear "spending all her time is hunting and drinking."

She came to France, and, being without financial means, had⋅⋅ to work to earn her living. She had been employed as an assisant stord- keeper, and lately earned 400 francs (£3 58.), a month.

She was now in falling health, and demanded a monthly allowance of 1,500 francs (£12) from her wealthy father.
