Definition of TRAVELLERS' CHEQUES-

The system of Travellers Cheques was originated in 1891 by the American Express Company with the object of creating a form a travel currency which would give the holder the security of letter of credit and at the same time the convenience of local currency. The Company registered the cheques under the trade name of AMERICAN EXPRESS TRAVELERS' CHEQUES' the word "Travellers' being spoiled with one "L" This advantage of the Cheques was no apparent that other banking institutions adopted the system."

6. Scottish Company.

Vickers Gun Class of Instruction will be held at Corps Headquarters at pan, on Monday, 20th August, 1928. Training Senson 1928-1929. Mem- bers of the Company are kindly re- quested to take particular note that Company Parades will commence on Thursday, 6th September and bo continued thereafter every Thursday- detalls Inter.

Parades from commencement to Camp will be confined to training in | Vicker's Gun and'in' order' that the Company may figure prominently in efficiency in use of this weapon regular attendance is necessary for formation
