Definition of TRAVELLERS' CHEQUES-
The system of Travellers Cheques was originated in 1891 by the Amorican Express Company with the olject of creating a form travel currency which would. give the holder the security of a fatter of credit and at the same time the convenience of local currency. The Company registered the cheques under the trade zame of AMERICAN EXPRESS TRAVELERS' CHEQUES word "Travellers' being spoiled with one "1" This advantage of the Cheques was so apparent that other banking Institutions adopted the system."
