On arrival the Prince burriedly alignted, ran up the police station steps, and in his haste nearly knocked over a policeman who was standing there, too surprised to ask the meaning of the sudden presence before dawn of a stranger.

But as soon as the Prince enter ed the building he was recognised, und his request, in the words quoted'). above, was immediately carried out. While the ambalanes was speeding on its way to the scene of the ac cident, the Prince talked for some time with the Sergeant in charge at, the police station. Later he drove away, and as the car was moving oil, the Prince nut his head out of the window and bade the constable on the steps a smiling "good night."

Subsequently the Prince drove to the Cottage Hospital, where the injured men were taken, and in b.quired as to their condition.
