Cost of Flower Show. Every year, at any rate in recent years, the Flower Show has cost us more than the amount of bur manual eubscriptions and the in- takings from the Show, The extra cost has in earlier years been met by drawing, upon the balance which we had in hand, with the re- sult that this balance has now been exhausted, and we are faced" with the position that the Flower Show cannot be held next year un- less the funds are substantially- increased by the addition of new members, or we obtain funds from some other sources. This year every effort was made to keep the expenses of the Flower Show as low as possible, with the result that a sensible reduction in cost was effected, GA compared with the cost of, recent years. doubt if any further reduction is feasible, except by making an in- road into the prize fund.
