SUICIDE.
REGULAR EPIDEMIC OVER WEEK-END.
CASES FOR HOSPITAL.
There were three cases of at- tempted suicide reported to the police during Saturday and one culo yesterday.
The first case was reported at 6.45 p.m. on Saturday when the Yaumati Police Station learned that a Chinese, twenty years of age, took an overdose of opium in an attempt to end his life. The would-be suicide was immediately rushed to the Kwong Wah Hospi tal for medical attention.
Ten minutes later, a report was made that a Chinese woman had attempted to end her life by jump Rooming into the harbour from the Yaumat! ferry launch Man Ying. This woman was also sent to the Kwong Wah Hospital.
