WILD SCENES IN A CATHEDRAL.

Turis, Apr. 2. Extraordinary scenes were wit- nessed during the celebration of High Maas at Perpignan Cathedral yesterday. The Archbishop and the Archdeacon were hissed by members of the Action Francaise, and cries of "Shame, traitors, Boche" were raised. The demon ́stration was repeated as the Arch- bishop left the Cathedral after the service.

The trouble began when the arch- descon began to read the episcopal decreo promulgated last week, which practically lays an Interdict or all unrepentant members of the Action Francaise. He had not pro- ceeded far when cries of protest were raised from members of the League seated at the back of the cathedral. Other persons rose and walked out!
