CORNABY AND PIERCY WIN

HANDICAP.

The final of the Handicap Doubles was played yesterday between W. B. Cornaby and A. Piercy (rez. 2/0) and A. D. Humphreys and G. R. Sayer (owe 15/1), and resulted in a win by the former pair by three straight sets. Cornaby and Piercy played con- fidently and showed a better under- atanding of each other's play than did their opponents. Goranby was bril lant towards the close of the game, and was mainly responsible for hold- ing down the opposing pair.
