A Reuter message from Calcutta, dated yesterday, states that the two French airmen, Costes and Lebrix have arrived thers from Hanoi.
They have therefore flown from Tokyo to Calcutta in two hops. Leaving Tokyo on Sunday at 7.23 a.m. they accomplished the 2,500 mile flight to Hanoi in just over 83 hours, reaching Hanoi at 4.45 | p.m. on Monday.
Their second hop from Hanol.to Calcutta was one of about 1,100 milos and it is presumed that they flew over Annam, Burmah, Assam and so into Bengal.
