H, M. King Georgo oponed the now session of Parliament on Tuesday (February 7) in State. Unfortunately, the Queen had Boen suffering from a cold, and was not able to necompany him. His Majosty made the journey from Buckingham Palace in the old Stato Coach, drawn by eight bay horses, mounted by postilions in the Royal liveries, Maunted aquorrios, yeomon of the Royal. Bodyguard of Yeomen of the Guard, and a Sovereign's Escort of the Royal Horse Guarde guarded the Coach. Our picture shows the procession passing the Victoria Memorial on leaving the Palace.
