Here's an unusual kind of ver- dict from a German court.

A motorist was charged with killing a cyclist in a smash at crossroad. The side road from which the cyclist came was servened by a bend from the view of the motorist, who was travel: ling on a main road, and there was no warning sign to indicate its jexistence.

Although the motorist was travelling at 50 miles per hour at the time of the accident, the court considered that the speed was not excessive on an open road, and that the driver could not be held responsible for the smash. was acquitted.
