The trial of Thomas McCartney. British, and the German student, George Hansen, on charges of espionage, was concluded before the Lord Chief Justice, Lord Howart, at the Old Bailey to-day, The jury found both prisoners guilty, and sentence of ten years' penal servitude was passed.
Sir Douglas, Hogg, K.C., the At. torney General, in the final speech for the Crown, declared that a dangerous spy organisation direct ed against the safety of Great Britain had been unearthed in the
