A very reliable vehicle in which. high speeds are reconciled with 2 high degree of comfort is the Star "Flyer. This has a six-cylinder engine with overhead valves, a twin dry-plate clutch and a four- speed gear-box. The whole design is very clean and acces sible. In all six brakes are fittted. New Six-Cylinder 'Buses. While fully maintaining the large production of their well known Lión' and 'Lioness' pas-. senger models, the Leyland Co. have now produced a very in- teresting range of six-cylinder passenger-carrying chassis, after some eighteen months of strenuous experimental. work. These are known as the Tiger" and Tigress.' The former is a full capacity single-deck passen- ger model, in which the driver sits beside the engine; while the "Tigress' is similar but of bonnet- ed pattern. A third model is the Titan, which is a powerful six- cylinder double-decker. Though not exhibited at the Show, the range includes a six-cylinder six- wheeler, designed to carry a 72- sented double-deck body. In each case the six-cylinder engine is of the over-head-valve type and unit construction of engine, clutch and gearbox is adopted. Four-wheel brakes are fitted with power- operated mechanism.
Exhibitors at the Exhibition showed unanimous satisfaction with the business done, and the number of visitors at the Show was something like 50/per cent in excess of the figures on the occasion of the last exhibition held in London. A further satis- factory feature is that good trade not confined to one section of the industry's products, but is equally in being experienced respect of goods and passenger- carrying vehicles.
