TRADE PROSPECTS.
AN OPTIMISTIC BRITISH FORECAST.
London, Dec. 31. Modised optimism may be to prevail with regard to Bri trade prospects for 1928, encourag- ing features being the increase of exports, the decrease in unemploy- meat, and дл atmosphere of greater trust and friendliness be tween employers and employed.
On the other hand, whilst there! has been a marked improvement în the secondary industries, depres sion continues in some of the prin cipal branches of the nation's in«! dustrial activity, notably in the cotton trade, where the employers are at present discussing remedies which include reduction of piece rates and increase of working hours-Reuter.
