Building, for confirmation of a special resolution regarding the company's Memorandum of As- sociation. Mr. H. C. Sheldon and Mr. Leo d'Almada e Castro, 'jnr, both represented, the company.
Mr. Sheldon explained that the application was for the courtis confirmation to an alteration of the company's objects, proposed to be effected by a special resolu- tion, or alternatively such other order as the court should think just.
The special resolution was duly passed and confirmed at extra- ordinary general meetings of the on November 21 company held and December 9 this year, The resolution was "That the provi sions of the Company's Memoran- dum of Association with respect to its objects be altered so as to read as shown in the print sign- ed "for the purpose of identifica- tion by the chairman of this meeting."
The alterations were required in order to enable the company, to earry on its business more econo- mically and more efficiently.

In reply to the Coroner witnes said that there were no signs of Mr. Pethick having had any drink.
A coolie employed as watchman at the parts of Prince Edward Road which were under repair said that his duty extended from 6 pm. to midnight. He was engaged by the Yee Lee Contractors to see that the boards at the works were not stolen.
Repairs were being ear- ried out at that part of the road near Kowloon Tsui as well as at the place where the accident oc- curred. There was only one watch- man to patrol the whole area.
It was also the duty of witness' to see that the lights were burning.. They were already alight when wit. ness went on duty,

Police Arrive on Scene,' The next witness called was Sergeant Sherry who was the first Police witness to arrive on the scene. Damaged Lamp Found.
