Mr. Honry Lewis Stimson, former Secretary for War, was born at Now York in 1887, and is thus in his 61st year. After passing through Yale and Harvard, he took. ip the study of law, and entered the Harvard Law School, whern ho studied from 1580 to 1800, being admitted to the Bar in 1801. He became a member of the law firm of Root Clarke in 1903, afterwards becoming a partner.
