A MAD BUFFALO.
SHOT AT THE ALBANY,
A mad bull, which escaped from the slaughter house on Monday night," was shot yesterday morning on the grounds of No 1, The Albany. It would appear that the animal broke through the barriers at the slaughter house and after roaming about all over the city eventually lodged itself in the garden of No 1, The Albany, at 1.30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
".
The bull showed great ferocity when it was approached in the morning. The animal chased a police officer for a distance of over a hundred yards.
Mr. FL Green, of the Botanica! and Forcetry Department, who arrived on the scono, made an end of the animal's mad career by shooting it with his rifle.
