This alleged "plot" came to the knowledge of the other side, at the head of which is General Chang Fat-kwal, and it was his chief subordinate,. General Wang Ki-cheung, who yesterday staged the coup to disarm Li Chai-sum's men, thus forestalling the working out of the plot.

There has not been very heavy fighting, but it is clear that the "Leftists" are more or less in complete control of the city, and that General Li Fook-iùm, the Honam military chief, has thrown in his lot with the victors.
