REPORTED SELECTION OF GOVERNOR GENERAL.
PHILIPPINES QUESTIONS.
The identity of the next Governor General of the. Philip- pines is believed to have been revealed in a cable received last Friday by Speaker Manuel Roxas from Senate President Manuel Quezon who is reported as having described him as one well inform ed on local conditions and accept able to Filipinos.
The cable received by Speaker Roxas is understood to have been sent by Mr. Quezon after he and Senator Sergio Osminna, special envoys of the insular legislature, had seen President Coolidge.
"We have been well received by the President," Mr. Quezon is re- ported as saying in his cable stating that he expects another conference with the federal chief
executive.
