SNAKE IN WOMAN'S FUR.

MIDNIGHT WRIGGLES SCARE

TWO SISTERS.

Thinking her sister had been careless, the elder woman remons trated with her, but was assured that the fur had been carefully hung on the door. The fur was then hung in the wardrobe, but next morning it again lay on the floor.

An explanation of the uncanny movements of the fur came later in a letter from the furriers.

Series of Concerts. Supplementing these features will be a series of concerts in the great ballroom of the Banff Springs Hotel for which several of the best known Scottish singers have been engagd. The Gaelic singers will be represented by the tenor, Norman. Cameron, and by a group of folk singers from the Hebrides who has recent ly come to make their home in Canada.

The programme of Scottish music has been drawn up in historical sequence, commencing with old ballads of the fourteenth and fif- teenth centuries, followed by groups of the periods of Mary Queen of Scots, the Stuarts and the Jacobites, followed by selec- tions from the songs of Burns, Sir Walter Scott, Lady Nairne and Christopher North. The Hebri dean music recently made popular by Marjorie Kennedy Fraser will also be featured.

In addition to these Scottish elements of garnes and music an- other Highland feature will be in- troduced, namely, folksongs and dances of the Highland tribes of Jndiana whose hunting grounds were from time immemorial in the neighboring Canadian Pacific Rockies. These Indians will be gathered in a picturesque encamp ment, and with their treepees and variegated costumes will make the cffair unique of its kind.
