Impressive Greeting.

The greeting which Kemal Tusha received on his arrival was by most impressive. Coming. train, from Angora, he embarked on the presidental yacht Ertoghrul at Ismic and steamed to Con- atantinople escorted by a cruiser, two destroyers, and three torpedo- boats. From early in the morning steamers were setting out to meet the yacht off Prinkipo, and by, the, time of her arrival there some thirty to thirty-five staamees, wita probably ten thousand people on board, were awaiting her.

The city is smothered in 'flags and has been illuminated for three and tasteful nights. Elaborate triumphal arches of wood have been set up in the principal streets: decked by day with evergreens, they are brilliantly illuminated by night. Houses and buildings are lit up; the balconies of minarets are circled with of wel- lamps, and inscriptions come are traced on the sky by means of lamps strung on ropes (mahiehs)

As a result, largely on dental advice, the tooth-cleaning habits of many people are being radically changed.

Many methods considered right yester- day are judged inadequate today. Modern dental science has made important new advancements. Findings that mean much in dental prophylaxis. These are embodied in the special film-removing dentifrice called Pepsodent.

Now an effective film combatant For years dental science sought ways-to fight film. Clear teeth and healthy gums conic only when film is constantly com- bated removed every day from, the teeth. Film was found to cling to teeth; to

get into crevices and stay; to hold in con- tact with teeth food substances which fer- mented and fostered the acids of decay. Film was found to be the basis of tartar. Germs by the millions breed in it. And they, with tartar, are the chief caues of pyorrhea and most gum disorders.
