Yangtzepoo Lawn Bowls Club scored their first victory in the Shanghai "Mercury Cup" competition on the greens of the Junior Golf Club at Hongkew Park. defeating the Shanghai Lawn Bowls Club, winnors of the trophy on all provious occasions on which it has been competed for, by a score of 87 points to 65. Mr. W. J. Davey, proprietor of the Shanghai Mercury, standing in the centre of the group, presented the cup at the end of the match.
