NAVAL PRIZE MONEY.

A COLONIAL OFFICE CIRCULAR.

The Hon. the Colonial Secretary forwards us the following Circular and copy of Statutory Rules and Orders regarding the Naval Prize Fund, issued by the Secretary of State for the Colonies:

Circular.

Downing Street, 2nd April, 1927. Sir-With reference to the late Viscount Milner's Circular des- patch of the 4th of June, 1919, 1

have the honour to transmit to you the accompanying copies of an Order in Council of the 5th of Noyember, 1926, issued pursuant to the Naval Agency and Distribu- tion Act, 1864.

2. I am Informed by the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty that the Naval Prize Fund will be

closed finally ten years from the 21st of April, 1920, the date when districution began, and that no further claims for participation can be received by any acer ad- ministering the Fund after the 20th of April, 1930.

LEUNG KWONG ENQUIRY.

DUTY OF THE JURY.

The Loung Kwong enquiry was continued this morning and the first witness called was Captain Willson who stated that if the grilles and

cargo ports were locked by the No. 1 Indian Guard It was not by his ordera.
