A store and cafe was oper- ated in the place by Wong Man Tsiong and its contents were valued at Pésus 4,000. The loss amounted to about Pesos 2,500, The building was protected by Pesos 20,000 worth of insurance with the Mercantile Bank of China.

"Clean-Up Campaign.

The military authorities are planning another campaign to clean up the Communists in the neighbouring districts of Canton. The 4th. Army, under General Li
