UNSOLVED CRIMES.

MASTER MIND BEHIND ROBBERIES.

Recont reports of fresh clues in the mystery surrounding the mur der of Mr. B. A. Creed, the pro vision shop manager, of Bays- water, W on July 28, emphasises the fact that Scotland Yard nover, entirely abandona an Investiga tion, says a London, paper.

There are several other crimes, weeks old, awaiting solution. There is the burglary at Harrods' stores, on December 29, when pro- porty to the value of about $10,000 was stolen. At least three thieves were engaged, and they were seen by a policeman to drive away.

Then there are the recent raids, on post officea and mall vans. In one or two instances the thieves have been brought to justice, but the man or men who stand in the background and plan these rob- beries have not been caught. It is thought that there is a master mind which directs post office rob- beries.

Efforts are being made to dis- cover the organisers of the gang which has successfully brought off. safe robberies recently. The thieves must have Been well pro vided with money, for the ap- pliances which have been left be hind are of costly manufacture,
