At the annual shows of the Horticultural Society he has always been a pro- minent exhibitor and prize winner, and many functions of the St. George's and the St. An- drow's Societies have been made. all the more pleasurable because of the beautiful blooma which he supplied.

Butterfell and Swire as a marine engineer. He was promoted se- cond enginner in August, 1806, and appointed Chief Bagineer in August, 1900. For 27 years. Mr. Douald has held posts of Chief Engineer on most of the vessela controlled by Mowers. Butterfeld and Swire, and for some time past has been Chief Engineer of the popular river steamer Patshan.

As a Kowloon resident, Mr. Donald was well-known, and he fake with him on retirement the best wishes of a large cirale of friends.
