RESCUED CREW.-Members of the crow of the British schooner" Kathleen Conrad" who were rosened from their sinking vessel 70 miles of Boston light during the height of the tempest which recently raged over the north Atlantic. This picture was taken upon their arrival in Boston. Standing second from the right. is Captain Simon Theriault, skipper of the Gloucester fishing smack "Grand Marshall," the rescuing craft. The others are (standing, laft to right), Frank Lohnes, Fred Randall, Leman Conrad, Moyle Conrad, captain of the "Kathleen Conrad," and Mauley Goodrick, Kneeling, C. B. Mason, M.J. Conrad, Eli Thornhill, Harold Wilkie and George Randali.

DRY ANCHORAGE-One of the victims of the storm which recently swept the Atlantic seaboard was the majostic five-masted schooner Nancy, of Philadelphia, which was blown upon Nantaskel Beach, Massachusetts. All her skip- per's skill and endeavour proved futilo against high winds, giant sons and dragging anchors. Here she is so high and dry that members of her crew were able to walk 'round her.

The box is shown with a Kashmiri huntsman. Tha party explored remote regions of the Russian Pamirs, Chineso Turkestan and Magnolia in their soarch for natural history treasures.
