We were fortunate to obtain the services of Rey. Mr. G. E. S. 67 Less cheerful.. Upsdell to succeed Mr. Hodgson. He has not spared himself in work for the Association and so long as we can get people like Mr. Hodg- son and Mr. Upsdell as our Honor- ary Secretary we can rest assured that the good work of the Associa- Lion on behalf of motorists will continue. (Applause).
The Patrols.
Hongkong A. A. jatrols have been stationed at the Star Ferry, Kowloon and at the City Hall to look after members' cars. Until this was done complaints were being received of pely thefts. This has now ceased and I con- clude therefore that the patrols are justifying their existence and tre useful to Members.
A drivers' registration bureau has been established and members who require drivers are urged to apply to Mr. Upsdell. Great care is taken to enquire into cach driver's record and members can be certain of being supplied with good drivers at reasonable wages, and only such as have satisfactory records.
By arrangement with the Police, the stand on the upper part of Pedder Street has been reserved for private cars only. People who intel to park their cars for the whole day are requested to leave them at the City Hall so as to avoid congestion at Podder Street as much as possible.
