MR. O'MALLEY CONCLUDES HIS HANKOW MISSION."
BIG TROOP MOVEMENT.
It is officially announced that Mr. O'Malley, has gone back to Peking from Hankow to report and that before he left a definite agreement was reached on the subject of the Klukiang Conccasion. This will be handed over to the Chinese authorities, as at Hankow, the question of compensation for losses sustained by British sub- jects having been satisfactorily adjusted.
Apparently some doubts have been raised in certain quarters regarding the advisability of landing U. 9. Murines at Shanghai, but the Navy Department at Washington has intimated that the Commander-in-Chief has absolute discretionary authority in the
matter.
Shantung troops in large numbers are arriving at Nanking from Pukow, where it is reported that 1,000 Anhul troops have been disarmed. A general retirement of Northern forces between Wuhu and Nanking is indicated.

Russia at this juncture.
