TWO MEN SENTENCED.
That they were unwilling visi tors to the Colony is the effect of the plea of two Europeans who were charged by Sergeant Elston, it the Central Magistracy this morning, before Major C. Willson, with being in the Colony without passports and without visible means of subistence.
The two accused were Petro Shemebadze, a Georgian, and Con- stantine Shebelim, a Serbiar, of whom it was stated by the police that they were hardened offenders, having arrived here on three deca sions without passports.
On their last appearance before the Court, in January of this year. they were sentenced to a term of imprisonment, and threatened to ro on hunger strike. It was never known if they had any intention of carrying out this threat, as they were deported from Hongkong without much loss of time.
