The text of the agreements signed on Saturday by Mr. O'Malley and Mr. Eugene Chen rogarding the future status of the British Concessions at Hankow and Kiaklang has beca officially released for publication to-day by the local authorities.

In the case of Hankow, the British Municipality will be die- solved on March 16th and the Concession will be formally handed over to a new Chinese Municipality. This Chinese body will modelled on the Municipality of the Special Administrative Dis- trict and there will be special regulations issued which will re- main in force until the amalgamation of the five Hankow Con-". cessions and former Concessions into one unified Municipal Dis- trict. (The five Concessions referred to are the British, French and Japanese, and the former Russian and German Concessions.),

The Kiakinng agreement will be on somewhat similar lines and the Nationalist Government will compeasute British subjects for losses if due to the action or culpable negligence of the
