A survey of the Press shows that tho hopeful reference to the Chinese situation in the King's Speech and the reassuring slitement of Ca- binet policy made in Parliament by the Promier, express completely the general sentiment of the British public.

The Times says Mr. Baldwin'z statement leaves little opening for criticism. It re-affirms in anassall- able terms the principles and plans which underlie British po licy.
