The Club-de Recreio defeated the Hongkong F. C. by three goals to on t on Saturday, and assured themselves of the league cham- pionship for the current season.

Kowloon defented the Chinese Athletic by two clear goals on the Club ground and now have most favourable prospects for the run- ner-up position.

The Royal Artillery brought off

u surprise by defeating the Bor- derers in a keen game.

MENAGERIE RACE ON SATURDAY.

The menagerie race on "Saturday provided a very close finish batwoor Rolla and Diana, the former passing the line two minutes boforo" the latter, who was one minute in front of Colleen. On corrected time, how ever, the positions were very much different, Colleen being fifth, Roila eighth and Diana thirteenth,

Ailsa, which crossed the line sixth; was given firat place on corrected time and Thecla was second after being thirteenth home.

KOWLOON AVENGED.

Visiting Kowloon early in the season, the Chinese Athletic. Look away two points, but continuing their recent run of success, ́the mainlanders scored twice without reply in the return match on Saturday, and squared accounts.

Kowloon's defence was in good fettle and the early advances of the Chinese were easily broken up Sims was at the top of his form, and Dancan and Baldwin rendered

From the point of view of the spectator the game between the league champions and the Houg kong F. C. was a poor one.
