NÁVAL DAY AT THE CLUB YESTERDAY, -

It was Naval Day at the Royal Hongkong Yacht Club yesterday the second of a series of three raços ar- ranged for. this season between the Navy and the Club being sailed. The Club secured a load of glaven points during the morning's sailing, but in the afternoon the Navy did much bot tor and on the day were 20 ahead. In the first raedenlied in November the Glub secured a load of 25 points, but are now one point down on the two events.

The officer of the day yesterday was Capt. W. Davison. R.N.R. and Chief Yeoman of Signals Swettenham was timekeeper.

The race, consisting of morning and afternoon events, proved an excep- tionally good one, although the later sailing proved the most exciting, the finish being very close. All the boats,

The course for the morning, race 30 Soup. was from the Club line West to East, Lyemun Beacon (port), Channel Rocka (port) and the finish on a mark off the Titanic.

Tiffin was taken on the Titania and the start for the afternoon race was made from the finishing line of the morning event From there it was Channel Rocks (starboard); Cust Rock Buoy (port) with the finish on the Club Line West to East.
