WEDDING BELLS AT SHANGHAI CATHEDRAL-Group taken after the wedding at Holy Trinity Cathedral of Shang- hai. of Mr. Jack Lionel Fletcher, of the China Soap Co., and Miss Mary Jackson. The groom is the son of the late Mr. W. A. Flotcher of Port Sunlight and the bride the daughter of Mr. Edward Jackson of Birkenhead. Miss Hunt acted us bridesmaid and Mr. G. Cocker was the best man. The bride was given away by Mr. E. R. Morris at whose residence, 16 Kelmscott Gardens, the above picture was taken.

DEMONSTRATION. FLIGHT.-Three of the Marina" tri-transcontinental planes, piloted by non-commissioned officers, shortly aftor they left Quantico, Virginia, för San Diego, California on the second leg of the flight. Their journey totallad 7,000 miles. It was undertaken to de- monstrate the practicability of quickly transporting aerial squadrons from coast to coast.

DECORATIONS AWARDED TO SHANGHAI MUNICIPAL POLICE-Polica Sergeant W. C. J. Bloomfield and Chinese Police Constable 181, Wu. Shou-shan, wore awarded 1st class Distinguished Conduct Medals by Mr. 8. Fesson- don, Chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Council, for bravery when dealing with an armed robbery A 2nd class Distinguished Conduct Medal was also awarded to Chinoso Police Constable 278, Wong Zih, and L ng Service Medals to Assistant Contmisioner M. O: Springfold, Inspectors G. Herinitage, P. J. Dunne, J. A. Mackonzie, T. Foley, Sub-Inspectors P. Lavallo and M. Ganly, as well as to several Sikh and Chinese mombors of the force. The parade was held in the Dril Hall."
