A RUMOUR DISPELLED..
Before moving the adoption of the roport, there are just one or two other matters I wish to touch upon. You will notice that the Accounts are stated in a more ex- tended form than previously, and will, we hope, give you a clearer grasp of the financial position of the Company. It has come to our knowledge that an idea prevails that this Company only asks de- posits on doubtful accounts from Chinese customers. This is quite incorrect. When there is any doubt, we require guarantees from the would-be customer, no matter; what his nationality may be... If our Chinese friends have any such. idea, I beg they will disabuse them- selves of it, as it is emphatically not the case.
With regard to interest on pre- paid calls, this will be made up to 81st December, and will be paid to shareholders Immediately after that date.
