The Interior of St. John's Cathedral was very tastefully de- corated by Lady Pollock and Mrs. J. R Wood on Saturday afternoon for the wedding of Mr. Robert A very pretty marriage took Lythgoe Read, third son of the place at St. John's Cathedral on late Mr. E. W. Read and Mrs. Saturday afternoon when Miss Read, of Stoney Corner, Kent, Grace Daphne Loc. daughter of and Miss Jean Vallance Fleming, Mr. and Mrs. F. T. Lee became the younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. bride of Mr. George Stephen Ford, John Fleming, of Coates, Penison of Mr. and Mrs. Ford. The Hev. H. Copley Moyle performed enick, Scotland,

The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. John Fleming, of Messrs. Lowe, Bingham and Matthews. She was attired in a gown of crepe Jeanette trimmed with silver leaves in Grecian style, with train and illusion veil to match. Her bouquet was of pink and white roses.

The bride was attended by Miss Cathie Shaw. as bridesmaid Mies Shaw wore coral liberty antin, with a brown velvet mirror picture hat, and carried a bouquet of pink roses.

The matron of honour, Mra, W.JE. Mackenzie, carried a bou quet of chrysanthemums while her dress was of cinnamon lace over antin with a.black crinoline

hat.

Given away by her father, the bride looked charming in a dress of charmeuse satin trimmed with orange blossom and French laco and carrying a bouquet of white roses and maiden hair fern. Her attendants were Miss Stella Lee 43 matron of honour. Mise Maiale Kotewall and Miss Cissió Leung Henry bridesmaids, while Ratham acted as page.

The bridesmaids both wore prciot georgette with frills and carried gold baskets of pink rosee with maiden hair" fern. The bride's mother's dress was of green, and gold brocaded satin.

A very happy gathering ussem- bied at No. 9, Robinson Road, where the reception was held, and toasts drunk to the happiness of the newly married couple.

A very interesting "Chinese wedding was, solemnised at St. Stopher's Church, on Saturday afternoon, when Miss Edith Ten only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charies Ten, of Australia' was married to Mr. William G. C. Ham. a well-known local merchant and third son of the late Mr. C. M. Ham and Mrs. Ham of Australia.

The service was conducted by the Rev. Lee Kau-yan.

Charmingly attired in a dress of French ivory charmeuse, richly embroidered with sprays of silver beads, pearls and Thinestones with a train suspended from the shoulder similarly embroidered and lined with ivory georgette, the bride entered the church on the arm of Mr. James Ng, by whom she was given away. The bride's "veil was arranged with a diadem of pearls and orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of white chrysanthemums and pale pink roses.

Miss. Sue A.. L. Gooey, of Melbourne, attended as brides- maid and wore a simple frock of salmon pink charmeuse and silver lace with side draperies of georgette. Her hair bandeau was of silver tissue with posy, at sido and she carried a shower bouquet. of pink shaded roses.

The flower girl, Miss Kae Lau, wore a pale green frock of geor- gette with inlet panels or tiny frills finished with handmade flowers and silver ribbons. She had silver ribbon hair bandeau, ornamented with hand made posies and carried a silver basket of pink rosebuds.

Subsequent to the ceremony at the Church, a reception was held at the roof garden of the Hong- kong Hotel, where the happy couple received the congratula tions of their many friends. In the evening a Chinese dinner was given at To Yuen restaurant, where Mr. and Mrs. Ham were the recipients of further felicita- tions.
