LOCAL WEDDING.

MCBRIDE-GAIRNS.

A pretty wedding took place at the Union Church this afternoon, the contracting parties being Mr. John Murray McBride, of the China Sugar Rofinory. (youngest son of the late Mr. William McBride and Mrs. McBride, of Greenock, Scotland) and Miss Margaret Elizabeth Gairns (only daughter, of Mr. and Mrs. II. Gairns, of 337A, Nathan Rond. Kirk Kowloon). The Hev, J. Maconachie officiated.

The bride, who was given away by her father, were a gown f white crepe marocain, trimmed- with lace and pearls, also veil and wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of roses.

The bridesmaids were. Miss- Betty Baker and Miss Phyllis Ponsford, and they were attired in dresses of nate blue erepe de chiar trimmed with gold lace, with hats and shoes to match.heir bog- quets were of vollow chrysanthe mums.
