THE WORLD SPORT

SOCCER MATCHES TO-MORROW.

AN INTERESTING "SCHEDULE.

["By Wanderer."]

The first month of football in Hongkong has been completed, the feature of the new campaign being the sensational start of the Club de Recreio, which has won each of Its three, matchen. The air is not cleared by any means, however, for everything points to a closer finish In the Senior Division than has been the Colony's experience for some years, The strang Tamar team has started poorly, and Kow- loon have dropped points unexpect edly, while the Club and the K. 0. 3. B. (when the latter team gets together) cannot be left out of consideration by any manner of

means.

November's programme begins to-morrow with a schedule of ten matches, and it should be noted that all times of kick-off have been ad-! vanced 15 minutes..

RECREIO'S PROSPECTS.

To talk of the Recreio'a prospects against South China when the two teams are at the opposite extremes of the league table might appear to be a trifle flippant. The South China team, however, is not by any means the weakest of the Seniors; the best of luck has not yet gone their way. They have in fact a fighting chance against the speedy Recreio team since the methods of the sides are so very similar. How ever, the Recreio, flushed with their success to date, will be difficult to defeat whatever the strength of the opposition, and South China will need a livelier step in the goal area if they are to bring off a big sur-

prise.

A KEEN FUSSLE.

A keen struggle may be expected on the Club ground. Neither side has shown particular brilliance up to the present though the soundness of the Club defence has carried them through rough passages. A division of the points is indicated.

In the Junior "A" Section the Club "Reserves, Recreio Reserves, St. Joseph's and Kowloon should all register further successes, while in the "B" Section, the Bank and St. Foseph's look fikely winners.
