THE HONGKONG TELEGRAPH,

HONGKONG FOOTBALL ON THE MARK.

PROMISE OF KEEN COMPETITION IN NEW, CAMPAIGN.

FIXTURES FOR THE FIRST HALF:

[BY "WANDERER."]

Local football begins in real earnest on Saturday, most teams are tuned up for a strenuous campaign, and there is a feeling of optimism existing in almost every club.

What is the new season likely to bring forth? The majority of teams will renew the struggle with a strong nucleus of the players who completed the old campaign, and I do not anticipate any starting reverends of form.

The R. A. and the Tamar sides are the "dark horses" at presont, and it is evident that Kowloon will have a storn tussle If they hope to repeat their wonderful successes of 1925-26.
