The crowd was walking along Wai Ching Street when on turn ing around one of their number notleed, that the deceased was missing. They returned and found him sitting on the doorstep of No. 4. He was not quite dead then, but by the time. his relativas were summoned he had died. This was about half an hour after the fight.

The defendant went to another coolie in Reclamation. Street, told him of the fight and then returned to the coolies' quarters, but he had gone when the Police visited the place at 5 p.m.
