LANCASHIRE WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

MIDDLESEX OVERWHELMED.

Yorkshire's long sequence of successes in the County Champion- ship has at last been broken, and they have this season to be con- tent with the position of runners up. Yorkshire won the champion- ship in 1922, 1923, 1924, 1925, but by defeating Nottinghamshire at Manchester in the course of the past three days, Lancashire have firmly established themselves at the head, of affairs.
