A LONG SEQUENCE BROKEN.
LANCASHIRE WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP.
MIDDLESEX OVERWHELMED.
Yorkshire's long sequence of successes in the County Champion- ship has at last been broken, and they have this season to be con- tent with the position of runners up. Yorkshire has one more game to play (against Somerset at Taun ton) but a victory will not affect the position.
